Last Friday, The Guild of Friends of the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital committee came together for one of our favourite annual activities, making posies for Mothers Day. Traditionally, every year, The Guild of Friends produces 100 or more fresh flower Mothering Sunday posies. We fill empty baby milk bottles with flowers, deliver them to the hospital and then every child who is currently resident at the hospital has a little posy of flowers to give their mother on Sunday.
This charity fair is run by an independent committee who for the last 15 years have supported The Guild of Friends of the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. This year the Mendip Fair raised £11,850 in total and this was shared between the two chosen charities – The Guild of Friends of the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children and Children’s Hospice South West.
The Guild of Friends received £5,925 from the proceeds of the fair and our grateful thanks go to the Mendip Fair Committee for allowing us to benefit from this wonderful event.
